Maserati MC20 Cielo debuts in the United States

The new Maserati MC20 Cielo made its North American debut moment at “ The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering ”, a prestigious automotive event in California that now forms an integral part of motoring culture in the United States. “ The Quail ”, a major part of Monterey’s prestigious “ Auto Week ”, was the ideal setting for luxury brand Maserati to partake in the open-top interpretation of its super sports auto.

Davide Grasso, Maserati Chief Executive Officer, and Bill Peffer, CEO of Maserati Americas together with Klaus Busse, Head of Maserati Design, presented the Trident brand’s rearmost addition. Also featuring on the stage were the Grecale Trofeo performance SUV and MC20 Coupé super sports auto.
Equipped with the revolutionary, state-of-the-art V6 Nettuno machine, the MC20 Cielo offers a perfect blend of sportiness and luxury, courtesy of a point unique to the member its innovative retractable glass roof. In factual fact, the new spyder acts as a meeting point between Maserati audacity and the horizonless sky, offering a special “ sky feeling ”.

As a first-in convertible member, this auto is equipped with an innovative and unique retractable smart glass roof, which can incontinently be converted from clear to opaque at the touch of a button. To do so, the roof employs Polymer- Dispersed Liquid Crystal( PDLC) technology to give a multi-faceted driving experience cosy and focused with the roof closed, and opaque; a unique open “ sky feeling ” when the roof is transparent; a holistic experience with the top down.
The heart of the MC20 Cielo is the revolutionary new Nettuno machine, a3.0- litre binary- turbo V6 that delivers 630 power at,500 rpm, with 730 Nm of necklace@,000-,500 rpm. Maserati’s Nettuno is the first machine intended for a road auto to use an innovativepre-chamber combustion system with binary spark entrapments, a technology deduced from Formula 1 competitions.

The MC20 Cielo was developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena and is produced at its major factory on Viale Ciro Menotti in the same megacity. It’s thus 100 Made in Italy.
Two other models are also featuring on the Trident brand’s stand a Grecale Trofeo and an MC20 coupé- in an eye-catching Fuoriserie interpretation.

The Grecale Trofeo – in Grigio Lava Opaco( matte lava slate) – is equipped with a high- performance3.0 L 530- hp V6 petrol machine, grounded on the Nettuno. The brand’s rearmost SUV represents an ideal mix of fineness, invention, performance and versatility, while icing optimum comfort, driveability and safety.
Again, the MC20 Fuoriserie – with Rosso Corse, Bianco Audace Lucido and Verde Smeraldo( Corse red, bold buff white and emerald herbage) outfit – forms part of the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme. Maserati Fuoriserie offers guests the occasion to produce the auto of their dreams, acclimatized to their exact tastes.
